Jemal H. Abawajy

Keynote Title: BIG Data & Cloud Computing


Dr. Jemal H. Abawajy is a full professor at school of Information Technology, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment, Deakin University, Australia. He is currently the Director of the Parallel and Distributing Computing Laboratory. He is a Senior Member of IEEE Computer Society; IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC); IEEE Technical Committee on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance and IEEE Communication Society.

Prof. Abawajy’s leadership is extensive spanning industrial, academic and professional areas. He has served on the Academic Board, Faculty Board, IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing Performance track coordinator, Research Integrity Advisory Group, Research Committee, Teaching and Learning Committee and Expert of International Standing Grant and external PhD thesis assessor. Prof. Abawajy has delivered more than 50 keynote addresses, invited seminars, and media briefings and has been actively involved in the organization of more than 200 national and international conferences in various capacity including chair, general co-chair, vice-chair, best paper award chair, publication chair, session chair and program committee. He has also served on the editorial-board of numerous international journals and currently serving as associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, International Journal of Big Data Intelligence and International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems. He has also guest edited many special issues. Prof. Abawajy is actively involved in funded research supervising large number of PhD students, postdoctoral, research assistants and visiting scholar in the area of Cloud Computing, Big Data, Network and System Security, Decision Support System, and E-healthcare. He is the author/co–author of five books, more than 250 papers in conferences, book chapters and journals such as IEEE Transactions on Computers and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems. Muhaimin Ismoen

Keynote Title: Fluid Dynamics and Heat Mass Transfer

Dr Muhaimin Ismoen is an Associate Professor of Industrial Mathematics at Department of Engineering Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Brunei.  Prior to this, he is an Associate Professor at Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) Malaysia, where he is the coordinator of The Center for Research in Computational Mathematics (CERCOM) at UTHM in 2010 -2012. He received Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics (industrial Mathematics) from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2010. He holds Master of Science in Mathematics from University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 1997 and Bachelor Degree in Mathematics Education from Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Indonesia in 1988. He has published 81 articles in which 59 articles are published in International Journals and 22 articles are published in Proceeding Conferences. A total of 56 articles were indexed by Google Scholar (with total citations are 377 and h-index is 12) and a total of 42 articles were indexed by Scopus (with total citations are 247 and h-index is 9). He has supervised many PhD's students; External Examiners for Master and PhD Thesis; Reviewer for some reputed international journals and conferences; Editorial Board for International Journal of Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Materials; Invited Speakers for International/National Conferences; Research Collaboration. A member/Associate member of UTB’s research cluster in field of “Flow Modelling and Simulation” and “Fuel Processing, Handling & Marketing”. His research areas are including Numerical Method and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) that focus on Boundary Layers Flow, heat and Mass Transfer.


















Tutut Herawan

Keynote Title: Handle Uncertainty in Social and Political Conflict

Tutut Herawan is presently an associate professor at Department of Information Systems, University of Malaya. He  received PhD degree in information technology in 2010 from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. He is a member of Soft Computing and Data Mining Research Group at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.

He has more than 12 years experience as academic and presently supervise 15 Master & PhD students. He has also successfully supervised five PhD students and examined Master & PhD Thesis. He is the executive editor of Malaysian Journal of Computer Science (ISI JCR with IF 0.405) and an associate editor of TELKOMNIKA & IJASEIT (Scopus index). He published more than 195 articles in various book, book chapters, international journals and conference proceedings which are indexed in Scopus database. He is an active reviewer for various journals including IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Knowledge-Based Systems, Information Sciences, Kybernetics, and many more. He has  served as a chair, co-chair, program committee member and co-organizer for numerous international conferences/workshops. He is the founding chair of SCDM conference with the renowned publisher Advances in Intelligent System and Computing of Springer Verlag. His research area includes information retrieval and decision support in information systems.















Yusni Ikhwan Siregar

Keynote Title: Fishery Resources in Pekanbaru Riau, Indonesia


Yusni Ikhwan Siregar is a professor in fishery resources at Universitas Riau, Indonesia. He earned a Bachelor degree in Aquaculture from Agriculture Institute of Bogor Indonesia in 1982. He later obtained a Master in Aquaculture from Auburn University, Alabama USA in 1989. He obtained a PhD in Biological Science/Ecotoxicology from Arhus University, Denmark in 1994. He has an experience as an academic for more than 30 years. He has received many awards in field of biology and environment from national and international agencies. He has supervised many graduate students; Reviewer for some reputed international journals and conferences; Editorial Board for international journal; Invited Speakers for International/National Conferences. He has published many articles in various international journals and conferences. His research areas are including Aquatic Animal Ecophysiology, Ecotoxicology, Wetland Ecosystem Ecology, Natural Resource Conservation and Environment, Ecoplanning and Environmental Modelling, and Environmental Statistics.
